2003-2004 (Senior): Did not wrestle due to a shoulder injury. 2002-2003 (Junior): Started at 145 lbs... took 4th at the Francis Scott Key Tournament... suffered a shoulder injury and was unable to compete at the County Tournament. 2001-2002 (Sophomore): JV starter at 140 lbs... finished 2nd at the JV County Tournament... won the championship at the Atholton JV Tournament. BEFORE HIGH SCHOOL: Wrestled for Hammond Junior League HCW rec team. PERSONAL: Younger brother of 1999 Hammond graduate Matt Nelson. Matt was a county and region champion, and finished 2nd in the state at Heavyweight.
